The third graders had quite a busy, but FUN-FILLED week as they learned new ways to make their reading and writing better during Reader's and Writer's workshops , celebrated the minion-themed LS Acquaintance party and went on their first field trip for this school year! We missed Natalia during these two events and we hope that she will be back healthy and ready to join us for Spirit Week next week!
Check out some pictures of our field trip ! We started off at the Magsaysay Ancestral House Museum where the kids had to research on former President Magsaysay's biography and different characteristics that made him a great leader. This activity was followed by a quick tour of Pamatawan Subic Town , Olongapo and Cubi Community. Students had to predict whether the communities were urban, suburban or rural. In order to prove their predictions, they had to take pictures of different community features . One of the highlights of the field trip was our visit to the Subic Port and Container yard. We saw different container vans and actually had the chance to go inside one ! We even saw a ship delivering goods from America! Most importantly, we learned what makes Subic Freeport a special community !
Special thanks to our hard working field trip chaperones : Ms. Silva, Mrs. Jessica Lee, Mrs. Gloria Park and Ms. Lea Lizan !!!
